Intent

Our curriculum is based on 4 key drivers:

  • Inspire - We hope to inspire our children through a varied Curriculum
  • Create - Our curriculum allows children time to create wonderful art in its various forms during their weekly Art lessons throughout the school.
  • Believe We aspire to build a belief that all children can succeed in art lessons.
  • Achieve - We believe success is for all children. Together we can achieve.

Stockwell Approach to Teaching

Our Art lessons are taught weekly this year in Autumn Term One, Spring Term One and Summer Term One.

Our approach offers a wealth of knowledge and skills to our pupils. We aim to allow children the opportunities to express themselves through their art, whilst inspiring them through exposure of various Art forms.

Children will be exposed to a variety of artists throughout their Primary School years including: Picasso, Paul Klee, Andy Warhol, James Rizzi, William Morris, Demi Lang, David Hockney.

Other art forms include: Egyptian Gods representation, Mosaics, print work, architecture and much more.
